Round, segment or basket arches

Not every arch is the same. The choice of arch shape significantly influences both the visual appearance and the clear passage height of your door. We manufacture your interior door to measure based on these three classic basic forms:

1. The round arch (semicircular arch)

• The shape: The classic among arched doors. The arch forms a perfect semicircle, with the radius exactly equal to half the door width.
• Effect: Creates a very harmonious and symmetrical appearance. Ideal for stately historic buildings or Mediterranean-style interiors.

2. The segmental arch

• The shape: A flatter arch that represents only a segment of a circle (a section of a larger circle). The radius is significantly larger than half the door width.
• Effect: Appears more modern, subtle, and less dominant than a full round arch. It gently softens straight lines.

3. The basket arch

• The shape: The most technically sophisticated variant. It is composed of several radii (usually three or five centers), which makes the arch steeper towards the sides and flatter in the middle.
• Effect: Reminiscent of the elegant architecture of the Baroque or Rococo periods. It appears very refined and soft.

In addition to the type of arch (round arch, segmental arch, basket arch), you can also choose the door leaf model:

• GALA panel interior doors with applied moulding
• ANTIK & KLASSIK panel doors with flattened panels

Nature offers a huge variety that leaves nothing to be desired. The surface treatment of our veneered doors is carried out with a high-quality, completely natural-looking, matt finish or oil.

Depending on your requirements and interior design concept, the surface of the real wood doors can also be brushed and/or stained. It is also possible to cover the door leaf with original reclaimed wood. In principle, we can adjust any surface for you according to a sample template.

Note: With some surfaces (e.g. Makassar), there are significant variations in colour and structure depending on the veneer trunk. These unique surfaces are sampled with the original trunk when the order is placed.

Our high-quality, velvety-silky, matt sanded lacquer finish in furniture quality is ComTür's speciality and an absolute mark of quality for our real wood doors. The sanded lacquer finish surfaces are available in all colours, e.g. according to RAL, Farrow & Ball, PANTONE or other colour charts. Our sanded lacquer finish is also available in high gloss.

Our brush-finished surface showcases the craftsmanship with which we have been designing doors for almost 100 years. The surface, manufactured in our own factory, is finished by hand. This creates unique effects on designer doors or period doors.

The new surface trend, not only for kitchens. Beautiful oak veneer is coated with high-quality sanding lacquer in RAL colours.

The real wood door is particularly beautifully finished, especially in dark colours. Various colours are available. For all colours, the veneer is brushed before lacquering to enhance the effect.

The handle not only defines the appearance of your stylish door, but you also touch it every day. You should consider the following features when making your selection:

• Design: Handle (matching window handles) & rosette (round, oval or square)
• Execution: Surface-mounted, flush-mounted, with/without key rosette, plug-in handle with small rosette
• Surfaces: Matt or polished stainless steel, matt or polished brass, etc
• Function: Is the handle also required for security doors, among other things?
